Whenever I go on a trip, I always take way too many photos.
In fact, when I looked back on a lot of my photos from my recent trip to Spain, a lot of the ones that I took on my SLR were also taken on my phone. Had to get it for the ‘gram.
We always want to capture all these memories when we’re travelling, but I feel like because we take SO MANY photos now, a lot of them just end up getting forgotten.
I’ve printed a couple photos from my trip to Europe about 5 years ago, but most of them just sit here in my laptop doing nothing, or get used as a #TBT post in the sole attempt to get a lot of likes on a photo. #shameless
SO, I decided that I wanted to actually try and use some of the photos from my trip to Spain and allow you guys to use them too!
I visited Montjuic while I was there and they have a stunning cactus garden that I highly recommend you see if you’re planning to visit! I could’t believe the size of some of them. It’s hard to really grasp the scale because I’m not in any of the photos, but to say I was blown away would be an understatement. I had never seen cactuses like this in my life.
Anyways, I took a lot of photos of the cactuses (and palm trees!) while I was in the garden, and when I got back and was going through my photos, I noticed that I took a lot of them at the same angle, looking up at a clear blue sky.
After thinking about it for a few days, I realized that these photos would look great if they were printed and hung together. I wanted them to have more of a chill, relaxed kind of vibe, so I decided that changing the sky to be more of a pink/sunset kind of hue would be the way to go.
To be honest, I love how they came out and can’t wait to use them in an upcoming project (more on that soon!)
BUT, I also wanted you guys to be able to use them! I think they would be great hung up in a group of 3, or could be a great addition to a gallery wall!
Just make sure to download the linked file if you’re planning on printing them so that the quality comes out better! I wouldn’t recommend blowing them up super large, but I think you could get away with 9×12. If you’re not planning on printing that big, just use a mat and a bigger frame for more impact 🙂
I’m planning on doing a bathroom redo and I think these would be perfect in a group of 3 above my towel rail! The dusty pink is going to go perfect with the gold accents I want to do!
