It’s so easy anyone can make it. It’s also a delicious way to beat the heat this summer. There are only four ingredients that you’ll need. You’ll also need a blender or a food processor to make it. And that’s it! I love simple recipes like this, because it helps you know what goes into your food.

Add all your ingredients into your food processor (we used this food processor – it really doesn’t matter what order) and blend until all the fruit has been broken down and the consistency is smooth. Then spread into a shallow plastic container (we used this one) and freeze for a few hours before serving! There’s really nothing to it!

No churn ice cream and sorbet does take a bit longer than using an ice cream maker but it’s just so easy. For an more even flavor and consistency, stir the Blackberry Sorbet thoroughly once an hour until frozen.

This recipe makes a great base for any fruit. You can try so many different variations. Both fresh and frozen fruit will work but frozen will take longer to blend in your food processor. For example, we used blackberries grown in our backyard that were picked then frozen. You could even buy bagged frozen fruit if you’re in a pinch.

We tried four different variations of sorbet in blackberry, strawberry, blueberry and pineapple. Our favorite flavors were blackberry and blueberry but I can’t wait to try dewberry! It’s super simple and a delicious summer treat.
