DIY Halloween Apothecary Jars with Printable Labels

Get spooky! It’s Halloween in Houston and here it is raining so hard again. There’s no leaving the house and no trick or treating for kids. It’s a sad day.

The labels are so fun because unlike other Halloween Labels, these are happy and lighthearted. When I was searching for labels for myself, I noticed that they we’re all super macabre. All the printable labels said things like “Unicorn Horns” and “Bat Wings.” Kinda gruesome. I wanted these labels to be more magical and less creepy.

As far as how to make the DIY Halloween Apothecary Jars, it’s very simple. Cut out the desired labels being careful to cut all the white from along the edges. Next, apply a thin layer of mod podge to the glass vessel. Apply the label and brush a small amount of mod podge on top.

Let the Bottles dry for around 30 minutes. And viola – DIY Halloween Apothecary Jars!

So fun and easy! What makes these jars feel like Halloween is when you use vintage shaped vessels that have cork lids or and cool romantic shapes. Green glass and brown glass are also perfect for this DIY. What’s really helpful is when you have 1 smooth surface on the jar.
