Announcing Pop Shop’s 2015 Summer of Free Kids Craft Workshops!
For the second year, we get to spend the summer crafting with kids at a local library near you. We teach lots of different activities from the beautiful to whimsical, and mature to fun and silly activities. Attendance and all materials are completely free courtesy of the Houston Public Libraries. To participate, just be sure to RSVP ahead of time and have a library card.
The Houston Public Libraries have been adding lots of maker programs. Their goal is to provide an even more diverse array of hands on information and knowledge. It goes beyond just books. All of these workshops are chosen by branch librarians and are a part of the Summer Reading Series in which kids can get great recommendations on books even when they’re not in school. And we’re not the only group that teaches at HPL. You can find workshops from the Houston Zoo, TX/RX Labs Hackerspace, and more.
Pop Shop’s goal is to showcase the most modern and interesting craft techniques. We’re interested and want to show you crafting that is functional, usable, and sellable. So here is our calendar of events of Free Craft Workshops for Kids.
