Slow Roasted Tomatoes with Garlic and Basil

These Slow Roasted Tomatoes with Basil and Garlic and simply to die for! They are easy to make so let's get started with this delicious recipe from Pop Shop America.


  • 1 carton Mini Heirloom Tomatoes
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Basil (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 pinch Fresh Ground Salt & Pepper


1. Preheat your oven to 300° and line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
2. Cut your tomatoes in half along the length of the tomato.
3. Place the tomatoes face up on the cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil and fresh minced basil. Dried basil is fine too!
4. Scatter the garlic cloves around the sheet. Baste the tomatoes so all of them have a bit of olive oil.
5. Add a pinch of fresh ground salt and pepper.
6. Oven roast for 3 full hours basting the tomatoes with the juice and olive oil a few times throughout.
7. Serve fresh out of the oven!
