Spicy Gingersnap Cookies Recipe

These spicy gingersnap cookies have a little extra kick!




  1. In a large bowl, beat together the brown sugar, butter, molasses, egg, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in baking soda, salt cinnamon, ginger, cloves, pepper, and cayenne.  Then mix in the flour.
  3. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and lightly grease your cookie sheet.
  5. Shape dough into round balls and roll in granulated sugar.  Then place on the cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 9-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and the interior rises.
  7. Cool before serving.
