how to make a turmeric ginger cold tonic diy pop shop america

I just recovered from the worst cold I have ever had. It took me out for a full week and made me forget what it felt like to be a healthy, functioning human being. I’m sure it’s happened to you too, and when it does, it’s the worst!

Enter this DIY Turmeric Ginger Cold Tonic. It’s a tiny drink you make with high powered ingredients that’s perfect for beating your cold.

DIY Turmeric Ginger Tonic

I started drinking a tonic from a company here called Village Juicery whenever I wasn’t feeling well. Now, I don’t have any proof that it actually works, but I do feel like I get better faster when I drink this tonic. I started recommending it to anyone at work and a lot of my colleagues now drink it.

The only problem with the tonic is that it’s pretty expensive at $6/2oz so I decided that I wanted to try making it for myself. The ingredients are listed on the bottle, so I just played around with it and made a version of my own. Making it on my own also meant that I could add a couple ingredients that I thought it was missing. In this case, I added the turmeric!

Now, whenever anyone exhibits even the slightest symptoms of a cold, I’m there the next day, tonic in hand, making them shoot it back like it’s Friday night and they need some liquid courage to text Chad and tell him what a fuckboi he is for ghosting her last week. 😜

That is how strongly I believe in this tonic.

The taste of this tonic is pretty strong, but I honestly feel like it helps you to feel better, faster. If you don’t love how strong it is, you can drink it like a tea by adding it to 1 1/2 cups of boiling water.
