Origami is the Japanese art of Paper Folding. At this art class by Pop Shop America, we’ll work with Austin Based Artist Origamisms to create several different folded paper creations.
Origamisms has been folding paper for over 10 years and has created large scale origami sculptures and origami sculptures tinier that your finger.
Learn the origami techniques that some call therapeutic and relaxing and others call gorgeous works of art. We’ll provide all the materials you need to make several origami creations from beginning to end.
We take care of all the supplies you need and you get to keep your work! You will walk away with professional quality design goods. You don’t need to be an experienced crafter to join us – we choose supplies that will lead to professional results.
Pop Shop America art classes are a super fun way to spend a Friday night or Sunday Brunch. Each workshop has a rotating menu of small bites provided by Greenhouse Catering Co. + light cocktails. You can also BYOB + your own snacks are welcome too. We play great music and socialize while we craft.
Our 19th St Boutique is currently under construction. Our workshops are temporarily located at Insomnia Gallery. Insomnia Gallery is a really cool pop art inspired gallery with modern works by local and national artists.
Insomnia is located in EaDo next to Bohemeo’s, Kismet Boutique, and lots of other cute shops at the most unique shopping center in EaDo.
