This handmade Corythosaurus Leather Dinosaur Brooch is such a great accessory for a dino lover. It’s made from beautifully cut pieces of leather shaped into a dinosaur head. It’s created by visual artist Jason Villegas, a mixed media sculptor that has exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Nevada Museum of Art, Okay Mountain Austin, and more.
This Corythosaurus Leather Dinosaur Brooch is artfully crafted in leather using suede, snakeskin style patterns, and other patterns. The brooch has a soft suede back and a silver pin so that you can attach it you dress, t-shirt, backpack, or anything else. This brooch is about almost 3 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches tall and shaped in a really cool way. The Corythosaurus is a lot taller than some of the other dinosaur brooches that we carry. This brooch comes in 2 different colors: one is light gray with orange accents. The other is brown with orange accents. Choose your favorite!
Corythosaurus is a type of hadrosaurid that is known for it’s “duck billed” head. It lived during the Upper Cretaceous period 75.5-77 million years ago in what is now North America. It’s name means “Helmet Lizard” and was an herbivore that was about 30 feet in length.
