Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. tequila
  • 1/4 c. triple sec
  • 1/2 c. jalapeno limeade or regular limeade
  • 1/4 c. fresh blueberries rinsed
  • 2 1/2 c. ice
  • coarse salt for salting rim of glass

Instructions

To make the margarita:

  • Place all ingredients except salt in a powerful blender.
  • Blend until slushy (or until desired consistency)
  • Pour into salt-rimmed glasses and serve immediately.
  • Makes 2 servings.

To salt rim of your glass:

  • Pour a small amount of limeade (use lime juice in a classic marg) into a wide bottomed bowl.  Spread coarse salt onto a small plate.
  • Turn your glass upside down. Dip about 1/4-1/2 inch deep into the limeade and then press it into the salt.

Notes

If you can't get your hands on jalapeno limeade, use regular limeade and make a jalapeno simple syrup. Use 6 tablespoons limeade and 2 tablespoons jalapeno simple syrup (adjust to your liking).
